Range Rules


  • Always treat every firearm as if loaded, keep firearms pointed in a safe direction at all times, never point at anything you are not willing to destroy, keep finger off of trigger until ready to shoot, know your target and what is behind.
  • Range hours are from 8:00 a.m. to sunset. Scheduled events, training, or other activities may require the ranges to be closed
  • Ranges will be closed during all mowing and neighboring farm work. No exceptions.
  • Please carry your membership card, you may be asked to present it.
  • The 100 & 200 yard ranges are to be used for rifle shooting only.
  • Pistol shooters are required to use the 10 & 50 yard ranges
  • Target placement must be so that shots passing through the targets impact the berm. Caution is urged, and strict adherence to this is required. A skipped round may travel over the berm. All targets are to be place at the base of the berm. 
  • All targets must be a minimum of 3 feet above the ground
  • No cross firing, no tracer rounds, no armor piercing rounds
  • No rifle or pistol shooting from the trap line
  • No full automatic weapons allowed on club grounds
  • No exploding targets ( Tannerite) allowed to be shot on club grounds
  • No alcoholic beverages, intoxicants of any kind. Intoxication or disorderly conduct of any kind will not be tolerated and is prohibited on these ranges.
  • Clowning or trick shooting is prohibited. 
  • You must remove all targets from the range upon completion of shooting.
  • No glass or ceramic targets allowed
  • Pick up your casings and carry out all trash
  • Wildlife is protected on this range. Do not fire upon any animals or birds on club property
  • Specific scheduled and sanctioned groups have the ability to set additional rules and take charge of the range with a range safety officer in place
  • No .50 caliber or larger rifles
  • If you can not follow these rules you will be asked to leave or have your membership revoked.
